Cardiovascular Research Fellowships

Saint Joseph’s Research Institute’s fellowship program is an integral component of its overall mission to support, promote, and improve the comprehensive care of the cardiovascular patient. With opportunities to manipulate the disease process and even regenerate damaged cardiac tissue on the horizon, the training of new scientists in state-of-the-art cardiovascular research is imperative. The SJTRI program allows fellows to learn laboratory research techniques through close, daily interactions with SJTRI researchers whose experience spans cardiac surgery to molecular biology.

Providing postdoctoral MD and PhD fellows with comprehensive training in cardiovascular research and education not only enables them to pursue successful careers as independent investigators, but also represents a powerful tool in accelerating the process of scientific development.
